Yampa 2.0

Yampa (Fintech)

Yampa 2.0

SaaS platform for business management, cash flow, and bank reconciliation for SMBs.

Challenge 1: Translating financial complexity into simple language The target audience has no financial background. Every design decision needed to be validated with real users — not assumed based on hunch. Approach: "No Manual Test" — usability criterion where the user must be able to get from signup to first dashboard guided only by the system, without human support. --- Challenge 2: Creating an architecture that reflected the Yampa Method ERPs are organized by module (accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory...). Yampa needed a model that made sense for someone who doesn't understand accounting. Approach: Navigation by "Areas of Action" — Control (where chaos becomes data), Monitor (daily tracking), Understand (diagnosis), Execute (action). --- Challenge 3: Scaling research without losing quality In-depth interviews take hours to analyze. How to turn insights into actions without creating a bottleneck in the research team?
1) Complete overhaul of onboarding from scratch, solving critical usability problems identified in user testing. 2) Creation of navigation architecture by "Areas of Action" (Control, Monitor, Understand, Execute), aligned with the user's mental journey — not ERP technical structure. 3) Conception and development of two AI agents (Yago and Yana) with distinct personalities, functioning as "financial assistant" and "strategic consultant". 4) Implementation of granular permissions system, allowing secure delegation of tasks in small businesses. 5) Structuring of quarterly research cycles (Discovery Q1-Q4 2025) with reproducible methodology. 6) Design of "Universal Data Importer" — functionality that ingests any file (PDF, Excel, image) and classifies automatically.

Qualitative research, MVP definition, component creation, prototype, validation.

Key Achievements

Complete overhaul of onboarding from scratch, solving critical usability problems identified in user testing.

Creation of navigation architecture by "Areas of Action" (Control, Monitor, Understand, Execute), aligned with the user's mental journey — not ERP technical structure.

Conception and development of two AI agents (Yago and Yana) with distinct personalities, functioning as "financial assistant" and "strategic consultant".

Implementation of granular permissions system, allowing secure delegation of tasks in small businesses.

Structuring of quarterly research cycles (Discovery Q1-Q4 2025) with reproducible methodology — including interviews, usability tests, surveys, and AI synthesis.

Design of "Universal Data Importer" — functionality that ingests any file (PDF, Excel, image) and classifies automatically.

New onboarding screen sequence, focused on rapid data collection for early value delivery.

Challenge 2: Creating an architecture that reflected the Yampa Method

ERPs are organized by module (accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory...). Yampa needed a model that made sense for someone who doesn't understand accounting.

Approach: Navigation by "Areas of Action" — Control (where chaos becomes data), Monitor (daily tracking), Understand (diagnosis), Execute (action).

Challenge 3: Scaling research without losing quality

In-depth interviews take hours to analyze. How to turn insights into actions without creating a bottleneck in the research team?

Metrics:

Onboarding completion rate — Did the user manage to reach the first dashboard?

Time to first insight — In less than 10 seconds, does the user understand if they made a profit or loss?

Weekly time in system — goal: less than 15 minutes per week to keep control up to date (post-initial setup).

Net Promoter Score (NPS) — Would users recommend Yampa?

Proactive features usage index — Do users interact with AI agents? Do they use alerts?
